Group Training Walks
1-Hour Trainer-Led Drop-In Group Walks | Various Locations
Our Group Training Walks are structured, on-leash group training walks designed to help dogs and their handlers build confidence, engagement, and practical real-world skills in a supportive community environment.
Each walk takes place in a different location, giving participants the opportunity to practice around a variety of environments, distractions, surfaces, people, dogs, sights, and smells. Changing locations also helps dogs learn to generalize their skills beyond their regular neighbourhood or training routine.
Throughout the walk, we focus on common everyday training goals such as:
Handler engagement and check-ins
Loose-leash walking
Obedience skills around distractions
Patience and impulse control
Environmental confidence
Appropriate socialization
Calm behaviour around other dogs and people
Building neutrality in busy or unfamiliar environments
Socialization Doesn't Have to Mean Interaction
These walks are not off-leash gatherings or dog play groups.
Our focus is on helping dogs learn how to comfortably share space with other dogs, people, and their environment without needing to greet or interact with everyone they see.
Dogs remain on leash throughout the walk, and participants are encouraged to maintain whatever distance is appropriate for their individual dog. Puppies can gain valuable positive exposure to the world, dogs who need additional space can participate at a comfortable distance, and experienced dogs can continue strengthening their skills in new and more challenging environments.
There is no expectation that dogs greet one another.
Train With a Supportive Community
You’ll walk alongside an inclusive group of like-minded dog owners who are each working toward their own training goals.
Whether you are building foundations with a young dog, strengthening everyday manners, working toward greater neutrality around other dogs, or simply looking for more opportunities to train in new environments, our Socialization Walks provide an accessible way to get out and practice together.
Our trainer will guide the group throughout the walk, provide training exercises and opportunities along the route, and help participants work through everyday challenges as they arise.
