Elevated Canine is a dog behaviour and training company built around a simple belief: better outcomes happen when we understand both the dog and the person holding the leash.
Our approach goes beyond basic obedience. We look at the whole picture, including behaviour, environment, communication, lifestyle, and the relationship between dog and handler, to create practical solutions that work in real life.
What sets Elevated Canine apart is our ability to read the dog in front of us, understand what is driving the behaviour, and translate that into clear, realistic guidance for the people caring for them.
Led by Experience
Elevated Canine was founded by Ashley Hynum, Dog Behaviour & Training Specialist, who brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience in professional dog training, shelter behaviour, rehabilitation, boarding, and handler education.
Her background includes working within the Behaviour and Training departments of two major Humane Societies, supporting complex behavioural cases, and instructing and mentoring new professional dog trainers.
Ashley holds an Animal Welfare Certificate, Dog Behavior & Methodology Certification, and is a Certified Pet First Aid Instructor.
Training Without Judgment
Behaviour challenges can be stressful, frustrating, and sometimes overwhelming.
Our role is not to judge the dog or the person caring for them.
We meet each dog and handler where they are, help identify what is really happening, and build a practical path forward with education, compassion, and clear expectations.
Our goal is not simply a better-trained dog.
It is a more confident handler, a better-understood dog, and a stronger relationship between them.
A Bigger Purpose
Elevated Canine has a special commitment to dogs who are harder to place, including dogs experiencing fear, reactivity, behavioural challenges, or difficult transitions through rescue and shelter environments.
As we grow, our goal is to build a team that shares the same standard of compassion, education, and practical expertise, while supporting families, rescues, foster caregivers, adopters, and the next generation of people entering the canine and animal-welfare fields.
